Today's BAGS programme kicks of with the usual pair of lunchtime cards from Sunderland (11.03 to 1.51) and Sheffield (11.11 to 2.03). The afternoon entertainment is provided by Romford (2.08 to 6.11) and Crayford (2.18 to 6.18) who share twenty eight races between them. We then have Sittingbourne (6.28 to 9.22) and Newcastle (6.38 to 9.14) completing the betting shop action.

For this Thursday's BAGS best bet we suggest Kinsella Hall (T3 4.57) who goes in the ninth race at Crayford. She possesses plenty of early zip and is taken to build a winning lead before the third corner.

It's busy times at Monmore right now with the Spring Festival reaching it's climax at the track on Friday and tonight seeing the start of another competition. This evening there are six first round heats of the Ladbroke Puppy Derby, the final of which will be live on Sky Sports on Thursday March 20.

The competition has attracted the mighty Ballymac Under (T1 8.26) who can set the standard with a runaway success in the opening heat. Already favouritre with many firms for the Greyhound Derby at Wimbledon, Matt Dartnall's machine may look a little skinny at 7-4 for outright honours here, but that'll look very big come the Final!.

The second heat goes off at 8.42 and we should see another Trap 1 winner through Droopys Enzo. Ted Soppitt's dog, who does his best running in the second half of the contest, can overpower this field from the three-quarter pole.
