Double: Chickapeakray and Glingerban Chickapeakray looks unexposed over fences and can bag the Bangorondeeraces.co.uk Handicap Chase for Donald McCain. McCain also has top-weight Jungleland in the race, and while there is no real suspicion he is in to keep the weights down for his other runner, it certainly bolsters confidence. Chickapeakray has been a real money-spinner for connections without being a world-beater, and one thing you can count on is that she will put her heart and soul into it. There may not be much of her but she is big where it matters, in the heart. The fact she has only raced over fences three times means there should be plenty more to come and as she looks to have reached her level over hurdles, this looks the logical way to go. An entry in the County Hurdle may be too ambitious for the 110-rated Magic Rush, but if he is to prove anywhere near that standard he should strike off his current mark in the Goings Good With Speedy Hi-Lights 01284 829895 Handicap Hurdle at Huntingdon. Norma Pook's charge was a fair performer on the level at up to a mile, making the frame on six of his 13 starts. And he began his hurdling career in the best possible fashion when winning nicely at Stratford back in October. That was followed up by a decent third under a penalty on his penultimate start and while he was a tad disappointing last time, he looks on a reasonable mark for this first foray into handicap company. The step up from a novice chase at Kelso to a decent Cheltenham handicap proved too steep a rise for Glingerbank last time, but he can atone in the Book For Irish Day 9th March Novices' Handicap Chase at Market Rasen. Never out of the first three in four starts over timber, the eight-year-old has found life less straightforward over the larger obstacles. He finished fifth to subsequent Listed winner The Wicketkeeper on his chasing bow at Perth before winning at Kelso. That last-named success was enough for Nicky Richards' charge to be sent off favourite at Cheltenham but he could only trail home fifth behind Arturio. However, that race was much hotter than this one so a return to winning ways looks firmly on the cards.
